Get Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings

Proper screening is the key to catching breast and cervical cancers early.

But if you have no insurance or limited insurance, you may be tempted to skip these screenings because they are just too expensive. The Pennsylvania Department of Health’s HealthyWoman program can help.

Through the HealthyWoman program, you can get free mammograms, clinical breast exams, pelvic exams and Pap tests, education on breast self-exams, and follow-up diagnostic care for abnormal results. To qualify for these free services you need to:

  • Be 40 to 64 years old (or younger than 40 if you are symptomatic of breast cancer, had an abnormal Pap test, or have not been screened for cervical cancer in the past five years)
  • Have no insurance or limited insurance that does not cover breast and cervical cancer screenings
  • Have a low to moderate income
